On Monday, September 14, 2020, Russian Wikinews took the 1st string of the title page of the [[w:en:Wikimedia Foundation|Wikimedia Foundation]]'s international multilingual Internet portal called [[w:en:Wikinews|Wikinews]] at the address [https://www.wikinews.org/ www.wikinews.org]. The changes in the design and in the subsequence in the list of the multi-language Wikinews projectsversions at that page [[phab:T262152|were accomplished]] by Wikimedia users [[user:Kaganer|Kaganer]] и [[User:MarcoAurelio|MarcoAurelio]].
 
The sequence of language versions of Wikinews at the page reflects their visit intensity (around the logo in the upper part) and the number of pages in the "main space" (in the list below). On September 1, 2020 Russian Wikinews overtook [[n:sr:|Serbian Wikinews]] and became the 1st simultaneously by both parameters.
 
It is preliminary considered that Russian Wikinews is the first ever Russian language "[[w:en:Wikipedia:Wikimedia sister projects|Wikimedia sister project]]" to reach the 1st place among all of the language versions of the same sister project.
